Claska SS17

Inspiration

While you feel the warm sand underneath your barefoot feet during a late afternoon walk on the beach, a slight sea breeze comes carressing your skin and makes your light summer clothes float. Claska, the knitwear label by Belgian designer Magali Moorkens, is the brand you need in order to revive this feeling. The minimalistic lines and high quality textures, characteristic of the brand, are the perfect travel companions for your summer holidays.

High quality knitwear with an airy and celestial feel. This sentence pretty much sums up Claska’s SS17 collection. From supple patio dresses to loose summer pants and sleeveless caftans, the fabrics will gently float on your sun-kissed skin. As for the eye-catching yet subtle transparent fabrics, they can be perfectly worn atop an elegant bodysuit or overall.

The Antwerp-born brand smartly opposes loose vs fitted, black vs white for sophisticated and feminine contrasts. With Claska’s ideal cuts, your travel wardrobe is all sorted out.

Collection

For SS17, designer Magali Moorkens kept her collection pure and simple. She selected clean cuts and minimalistic volumes. Here and there, she complemented the garments with knitted prints and unexpected fabrics.  Always keen on providing subtle finishing touches, the designer paired XXL volumes with lurex details, bat sleeves or cut-out sleeves.

As far as the colours are concerned, the keyword is purity. Black and white serve as the two headliners, then come the ravishing shades of grey, the earthy nuances and the softer ecru tones. Close your eyes and imagine the deep copper, bronze, gold, ivory and beige nuances so reminiscent of hot summer afternoons.
